“Anyone who takes a “we’ll figure out how to profit in the future” attitude to business is being ridiculous. That’s like building a rocket ship but starting off by saying, “Let’s pretend that gravity doesn’t exist.” A business without a path to profit isn’t a business, it’s a hobby.”
ReWork – chapter 3 Go
“We get our bread from the bakery down the street early in the morning, when it’s the freshest. Once we run out ( usually around two or three p.m.), we close up shop. We could get more bread later in the day, but it’s not as good as fresh-baked bread in the morning. There’s no point in selling a few more sandwiches if the bread is not good. A few bucks isn’t going to make up selling food we can’t proud of.”

“Don’t sit around and wait for someone else to make the change you want to see. And don’t think it takes a huge team to make that difference either.”

ReWork – chapter 3 Go
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people.”
Steve Jobs – Wired, February 1996
“Workaholics aren’t heroes. They don’t save the day, they just use it up. The real hero is already home because she figured out a faster way to get things done.”
